PM Modi’s Principal Secretary assesses Kedarnath reconstruction progress

PK Mishra, the principal secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, visited Kedarnath in Uttarakhand’s Rudraprayag district to assess the progress of the ongoing reconstruction and development work at the shrine. The project was initiated in response to the destruction caused by flash floods in 2013, and the foundation stone was laid by PM Modi in 2017.

During his visit, Mishra inspected various reconstruction projects and urged officials to ensure that laborers working in extreme weather conditions are provided with the necessary facilities. He also took time to offer prayers at the shrine, where temple priests welcomed him with a garland made of Rudraksha beads.

Mishra attended the concerns of the Priests

Mishra had the opportunity to meet with the temple priest community, where he listened to their concerns and suggestions. He assured them that the government is committed to constructing houses equipped with basic amenities for temple priests who were affected by the 2013 natural disaster.

Mishra expressed satisfaction with the progress of the reconstruction work, emphasizing that it is a significant project driven by the vision of Prime Minister Modi. He stressed the importance of maintaining the highest construction standards and ensuring the welfare of the laborers involved in the project, despite the challenging weather conditions.

The redevelopment of Kedarnath is a vital endeavor aimed at restoring and enhancing this sacred pilgrimage site, which holds immense cultural and spiritual significance in India.
