With the goal of strengthening connectivity and improving public transportation options, the Haryana Mass Rapid Transit Corporation (HMRTC) is making significant progress on a number of metro projects around the state.
Chief secretary and HMRTC Chairman Sanjeev Kaushal said after chairing the board meeting that the state government had chosen to build a metro link between AIIMS New Delhi and NCI Badsa in the Jhajjar district.
A techno-feasibility study is also currently underway to explore extending the existing metro line from Ballabhgarh to Palwal, covering a distance of about 25 km, to meet the growing transportation demands in these areas.
In order to accommodate the increasing transportation needs in these areas, a techno-feasibility study to investigate the possibility of expanding the current metro line from Ballabhgarh to Palwal, a distance of roughly 25 km, is presently under progress.
Furthermore, the feasibility of establishing a metro line that links Bahadurgarh and Asoudha is being assessed through a ridership assessment study.
The project was enlarged to include the road from Sector-56 to Vatika Chowk in Gurugram, where M/S Rites was first hired to create a DPR for the Sector-56 to Panchgaon stretch.
This extension represents a step forward in improving metro connections in Gurugram. The 36-kilometer project would take care of the transportation demands in the area.
