A pre-wedding celebration turned tragic when a businessman allegedly pushed his son’s friend off the terrace of a five-star hotel in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. The chilling incident, captured on CCTV, shows the victim, Sarthak Agrawal, touching the feet of the man who later attacked him.
Sarthak Agrawal, a businessman in the health sector, is currently in critical condition at a medical college after the incident. He had been attending a friend’s wedding at the hotel when an argument with Ridim Arora, another guest, escalated into a physical fight around 2 AM. Ridim reportedly called his father, Sanjeev Arora, to intervene.
CCTV footage reveals a heated exchange between the two groups before Sanjeev Arora appears on the scene. Just moments before the attack, Sarthak Agrawal is seen touching Sanjeev Arora’s feet in a gesture of respect. However, Sanjeev Arora then grabs him by the collar, slaps him, and pushes him off the terrace. After the incident, Sanjeev Arora also assaults another man before leaving the scene.
Sanjay Agrawal, Sarthak’s father, expressed his shock over the incident, stating, “Neither my son nor I have any idea who these people are.”
A First Information Report (FIR) has been filed, indicating that the accused were intoxicated and attacked Sarthak without provocation. The police have registered a case of assault causing grievous harm against Sanjeev Arora and others involved in the incident. Investigations are ongoing.
