Boney Kapoor Denies Possibility of Sridevi Biopic, Reveals Insights into Personal and Professional Life

Renowned Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor has dismissed any possibility of a biopic on his late wife, iconic actress Sridevi, emphasizing her private nature and his commitment to preserving her personal life away from public scrutiny. The revelation came during an interview with DNA, where Kapoor expressed firm opposition to the idea, asserting, “She was a very private person, and her life should remain private. I don’t think there ever will be, till the time I live, I will not allow this to happen.”

Kapoor’s statement sheds light on his protective stance regarding Sridevi’s legacy, amidst ongoing speculation about potential cinematic tributes to the legendary actress. The context arose in light of Kapoor’s involvement in the production of the sports biopic “Maidaan,” centred around the legendary football coach Syed Abdul Rahim’s dedication and passion.

The producer’s personal life has also been a subject of interest, notably his previous marriage to Mona Shourie Kapoor, with whom he shares two children, Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor. Sridevi’s tragic death in 2018 due to accidental drowning in a Dubai bathtub remains a poignant chapter in Kapoor’s life.
